Welcome to Our Farm and Agriturismo: Tradition, Nature, and Passion in the Heart of the Crete Senesi
Since 1967, our family – brothers Jader and Pierino Machetti – has been lovingly working the land passed down by our ancestors, keeping alive the agricultural traditions of the Crete Senesi. Even today, as a family-run business, we are dedicated to offering the best of what nature has to give: extra virgin olive oil, Chianti DOCG wine, Vinsanto, and Chianti Grappa.
We are simple people who live and work in harmony with nature, and this spirit is reflected in our rustic Tuscan- style apartments.
Every corner is designed to provide maximum comfort while maintaining that authentic charm that only an agriturismo in the heart of Tuscany can offer.
Stroll among the olive trees and vineyards, breathe in the fresh air of the Crete Senesi, and discover our Cantina- Museum, where our son Graziano, Jader’s child, will guide you through the history of agriculture and the landscapes around us. A journey back in time with historic photos and vintage tools, for an experience that goes beyond just a visit.
Throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to participate in special moments such as olive harvesting, grape harvesting, and pruning, to fully experience rural life in harmony with nature. If you’re looking for slow, authentic tourism, this is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy every single moment.
And when you’re craving some relaxation, we are surrounded by some of the most famous thermal spas in Tuscany: the Petriolo Thermal Baths, natural, historical, and free of charge, as well as other public thermal springs like Bagni San Filippo, San Casciano dei Bagni, Bagno Vignoni, and Rapolano Terme.
It’s not just the tranquility of the countryside that stands out here: our strategic location allows you to easily explore some of the most beautiful and historically rich places in Tuscany. Just 15 minutes from Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you can also visit San Gimignano, Pienza, the Val d’Orcia, Montalcino, and Montepulciano, and if you prefer the sea, it’s just over an hour’s drive to Castiglione della Pescaia or Follonica. For those who enjoy cooler weather, Monte Amiata is also nearby.
In short, here you’ll find the perfect balance between nature, history, and comfort, all seasoned with the passion we put into every gesture, every product, and every corner of our agriturismo. Come visit us, and we promise that every minute spent here will be an opportunity to recharge your energy, discover an authentic corner of Tuscany, and, above all, be inspired by the beauty of this place.
We are waiting for you with open hearts!
