Overlooking Fiesole’s main square, just a few steps from the ancient Roman amphitheater, Terrazza 45 is a restaurant that has been under the same management for fifteen years, ensuring continuity, professionalism, and careful attention to the guest experience. The restaurant features two indoor dining rooms: the main room, seating approximately 30 guests, and a smaller, cozier room with views of the city of Florence, offering charming glimpses even in winter. During the summer months, Terrazza 45 opens onto its panoramic terrace, which can accommodate up to 80 guests and provides breathtaking views of the Brunelleschi Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Palazzo Vecchio, the Church of Santa Croce, and the Arno River winding toward the surrounding hills. The restaurant is open 364 days a year and, on weekends, also serves lunch, allowing guests to enjoy the Terrazza 45 experience in any season.
The cuisine draws inspiration from Tuscan tradition, interpreted with balance and careful attention to the quality of ingredients. Truffle is the ingredient that most defines the restaurant’s identity, featured in dishes such as Grana Padano flan with fondue and black truffle, and in tagliolini that highlight its aroma and flavor. Alongside these, the menu celebrates authentic Florentine tradition with dishes like chicken liver terrine served with fig jam and warm bread, as well as the classic Fiorentina steak. Seafood offerings include crispy octopus on potato purée, gnocchi with scampi, and tuna tataki, complemented by paccheri with tomato sauce and Grana Padano, and beef tartare, creating a varied and well-balanced menu suitable for every taste.
The wine list has been carefully curated, featuring Italian labels selected to accompany the flavors of the menu, enhancing both meat and seafood dishes, in perfect harmony with the restaurant’s philosophy of quality and authenticity.
