Among the signature dishes of Capolinea Bistrot and Brunate is the famous süpa de scigulìtt, an onion soup in the Como dialect, inspired by the classic Brunate Onion Soup recipe. Capolinea Bistrot embodies the tastes, memories and passions of a lifetime. Elena, the owner of the bistrot, grew up immersed in the love of simple, sincere cuisine. Her grandparents ran the historic Trattoria della Pesa in Nerviano, near Milan, with dedication. It was there that she learned the value of simple, homemade dishes, traditional desserts patiently prepared by her grandmother and aunt, and respect for local products. After moving to Brunate 27 years ago, Elena brought with her the Milanese cuisine she cherishes, harmoniously blending it with the traditional dishes of Lake Como, cooked “the old-fashioned way.”
Today, Elena, together with her daughters and staff, welcomes guests into a warm and authentic environment that feels like home, where quality is a promise kept every day, and every dish is prepared with care and love.
