A journey through the colors and elements of Salento
The Doria spirit is born from a visceral bond with the most authentic Salento, suspended between Sea and Land. It is the expression of a deep sense of belonging to a territory of vibrant colors, Mediterranean aromas, timeless architectural elements, and that relaxed mood that permeates the slow-living lifestyle. Doria embodies the spirit of its Land through four elements: TERRAE, LIGHT, NATURE, AQUA.
TERRAE: Doria develops its chromatic research inspired by the colors that express the essence of the territory and its roots: the faded and lived-in tones of lime wall paintings, work garments worn by time, lands and sun- scorched earth. It is precisely from the interpretation of the Salento earth palette that the season’s major innovation is born: an unprecedented treatment, the result of research and experimentation on materials, capable of giving hats the authentic nuances of these places steeped in ancient memory.
LIGHT: through this element another important novelty takes shape: alongside the vintage soul of the collection, a luxurious micro-capsule reinterprets iconic Doria models in a total white version dedicated to the ceremonial world.
NATURE: raw straws woven or worked in crochet, presented in their original natural shades, are enhanced by bands with a lived-in appearance. Light and sophisticated Panama hats, in dusty colors or bright whites, contrast with bands in intense and bold tones. In every sense, it is a journey that consists in returning to the origins, and it is precisely through the senses that it must be experienced: in the tactile quality of the weaves and textures, in the celebration of that «vacanze d’antan» taste that has always illuminated the spirit of the Maison. Rich and fresh colors celebrate the tones of the Earth: Terracotta, Torba, Orzo, Caffè Leccese, Limoncello, Sale, Cioccolato, Caramello, Adriatico blue, Ionio blue and Aqua intertwine in light, natural, and textured fabrics.
AQUA: water is the element that inspires the “Raindrops” collection. Lightweight, unstructured, and completely pocketable, these almost impalpable hats, made from waterproof and recycled fabric, light up this season with new colors: Cioccolato and Smokey Pink. The first represents an iconic Doria color, while the second celebrates the Finisterre horizon line at sunset. Alongside them, the now timeless Safari line in waterproof cotton in Tufo color, a tribute to Lecce stone, designed for explorers d’antan. A spirit that celebrates Doria’s bohemien soul together with its deepest values: craftsmanship, high tailoring and savoir-faire passed down through the years, with which the brand’s homeland is deeply imbued. All Doria’s iconic shapes — Drop, Fedora, Gauchos and Western — intertwine in a collection that nods to the golden years of Italian cinema, in a retrò journey inspired by the 1950s and 1960s.
