Created in collaboration with the international architecture and design studio THDP, the project combines local materials, Made in Italy interior design and natural elements inspired by the colours and light of Rome. Travertine, wood, bronze, Carrara marble and tones recalling the Tiber River, Roman cobblestones and historic façades create elegant yet informal interiors designed to offer guests an authentically Roman experience.
At the heart of the hotel lies the spacious lobby, flooded with natural light and inspired by the private gardens of ancient Roman residences, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Conceived not merely as a transitional space, the lobby is an open and dynamic environment enriched with plants, decorative details and artworks, designed for relaxation, work and social interaction.
The hotel’s 133 rooms and suites, some featuring private terraces overlooking the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, stand out for their bright interiors, natural materials and contemporary comforts, offering a sophisticated stay in the centre of the capital. The hotel’s Food & Beverage offering also plays a leading role and is open both to hotel guests and the city itself.
MiT Food & Coffee Brewery, with direct access onto Piazza dell’Esquilino, is a lively meeting place ideal from breakfast through aperitif time, while Mamalia Restaurant offers Italian and Roman cuisine reinterpreted with a contemporary approach. On the eighth floor, the Mùn Rooftop Cocktail Bar offers one of the most evocative views over the rooftops of Rome — the perfect setting for sunset aperitifs, informal dinners and after-dinner cocktails overlooking the Eternal City.
