In 2001 Benedetto Battaglini had the idea of exploiting the shape of the heel to lock it without the need for straps, and made a prototype of summer sandal with the back of the foot free. In the following years unfortunately his project did not find interest among the most important companies in the footwear sector, so in 2015, after numerous attempts and thanks to the support of his son Federico, he decides not to give up and to produce his own sandals.
After 2 years of design and study, thanks also to the collaboration with the Maresca factory, finally in 2017 the first one-piece rubber sandal (patented) that retains the heel without the use of bands or straps, sees the light. In the same year, father and son founded Blipers Srl, owner of the patents and trademark Blipers, in the meantime it was registered in Italy and in many other countries. In 2020, Blipers also launched the flip-flop model, with the same heel-locking feature.
Today there are 2 models of Blipers, strictly made in Italy: the sandal and the flip-flop. Unisex sandals from number 35 to 46, made of soft thermoplastic rubber, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, PVC and phthalate free, 100% recyclable. The soles and insoles of both models are made with non-slip texture.
Thanks to the band that embraces the heel softly from behind and their revolutionary ergonomics, the Blipers can be worn in a moment standing, and they no longer slide off. They can be used at the sea, in the pool, in the gym, for walking and cycling, they are suitable for driving the car as they block the heel avoiding dangerous accidents, they float in the sea.
Blipers are very light, available in many fun colours, machine washable and recyclable at 100%.
