Refit & repair, survey and new buildings
The Giangrasso shipbuilding activity started in 2008, when the Owner Bartolomeo Giangrasso decided to spend directly his nearly 40 years experience in the field.
The Company has been mainly going through very huge refit works, managing either external and internal repair interventions: fairing, accurate check of hull status, repainting through high quality products and best marine practice, steel outfitting, full re-arrangement of internal spaces and equipment. Also, Giangrasso has acted in the years as RINa appointed Agency for expertise.
Thanks to a Cooperation Agreement with NEXT Yacht Group, Giangrasso is also their official Partner for outfitting the new AB YACHT 120’ range of new vessels.
Giangrasso owes great part of their success to a strong faith in the teambuilding activity. Pre-and post-decision processes do involve actively each functional area, thus preventing waste of energy and resources, and granting a close match to most demanding Clients’ requirements and wishes, through a careful work of analysis and draft.
In such view, the Company actively cooperates with some Associations connected to the Council of the Tuscan region, to increase their in-house professionalism.
Giangrasso has recently acquired the Austin Parker brand, for construction of brand new vessels from 36’ to 96’. They will now come out in the aluminium hull version, in view of a sustainable development and higher performances. The first 24 metres unit is presently under construction, with a comfortable four cabins interior layout joined to advanced green technologies: MAN main engines are installed with ZF POD, a special “Dynamic Position” choice which does not need using an anchor and, therefore, allows accessing marine protected bathing areas; the internal insulation is used either as fire-fighting and as acoustic insulation too, reducing the heat exchange; the horizontal surfaces on Sun Deck are covered by photovoltaic panels, used to feed TV-Wi/Fi and miscellaneous sockets.
The external spaces offer custom solutions to enjoy outdoor and marine life.
In 2023 Giangrasso attended YARE in Viareggio, the event born to match Shipbuilders with Captains needs, and their first Genoa Boat Show. In 2024 they will join YARE again, and attend the Cannes Boat Show, given the new cooperation with European Agencies mainly operating within the Far and Middle East markets.
