Arvier is located on the bottom of the central valley of Val d’Aosta, at 780 metres of altitude. This place, of Roman origins, was a feud of Seigneurs de la Mothe from Middle-Ages to 14th century, when it became property of Seigneurs d’Avise. The Rochefort chapel faces the bottom of the valley from the height of its rock, erected on the remains of Thomas 1st of Savoy’s Castle. The near villages are interesting places to visit too, like Leverogne, with the Roman bridge ruins and the typical Middle-Ages houses where our hotel was built in 1800. Hotel Cpl du Mont is also perfect place for romantic evenings : here you can take long walks through woods and meadows, observing in the distance the glaciers of Rutor, Château Blanc, Doravidi and the Peak of Tos. Walking you can smell the wild roses, a scent coming from the Enter (the hell) vineyards, the D.O.C. red wine.
